Tsunami Inundation map for Port Alberni

Orange represents the extent of the 1964 Tsunami. Yellow represents the interpolated extent of a Tsunami similar to the 1700 event.

Hi Sarah. This is the best map I could come up with after having a good look around local websites. I sent an email to Ken Watson, Port Alberni City Manager, asking to have this inundation map posted to their web site. He hasn’t responded yet. I will phone him. I think it is an important thing to have available to everyone here.
