A Testimonial for the Nahmint Valley
It’s not often you find a guest who demonstrates to you how much he and his family enjoyed their trip with Rainbird Excursions. But Micheal Pratt has done just that. He sent all 130 of his photos to me. And some of them are really nice. So I thought I would share them and his comments on line.
“Thanks for a great trip and a great time. We all enjoyed our excursion with
you on July 3.”
“I think all the pictures turned out quite well. My only problem is figuring
out how to show the height of the trees and the relative girth of them. The
canopy is so high and full of branches that it’s difficult to get a shot
that gives an idea how tall the trees are. Maybe next time I’ll bring a
rangefinder and see if I can measure them. (laughing).”
“Seeing elk would have been nice too or a bear, but I really enjoyed the
chance to see all the bald eagles, even if they were at the dump.”
“Well, that’s the end of it. Thanks again for your hospitality and all the
interesting background you supplied for us along the way. Probably the next
time we come to Vancouver Island, we’ll look you up and hope for a sunnier
or warmer day so we can jump in the water. Either way, anybody we know who’s
going to Vancouver Island will hear from us about how great your excursions
are and we’ll encourage them to look you up.”
And here is what he wrote in the guest book:
“That was a wonderful excursion. We saw all we hoped for and perhaps a few things we never expected. A highly recommended way to spend a few hours in the [Alberni] Valley

Thanks Micheal. It was a pleasure to show this valley to you and your family!
