It is likely some kind of owl. I&#039;m guessing a Barred Owl. I have heard them give of blood-curdling screams that would make a pirate pale. They also give other calls. The most common one is a hooted &quot;Who cooks for you; who cooks for you-all&quot;.</description>

We live on a farm in PA and have a night bird with a shriek for a call. In fact, there are more than one. Their call is loud and strident. They start after dark and go on all night long.
Any suggestion as to what it might be?</description>
